Fashion show
The highlight of the day is the thrilling fashion show. A chance to view beautiful collections of wedding dresses and outfits for bridesmaids and family members. At this year's fair there were two fashion shows - at 12:30 and 2:15 - where models displayed the latest bridal trends down the aisle of St Barnabas Church. This way you can get a feel for the way these fabulous designs could look like in a church setting.
Florists furnish the church in various floral styles to give visitors a taster of the way St Barnabas might look at a wedding. The bell ringers announce the beginning and end of the first fashion show with peals of the church bells.
Showing this year we had a variety of exhibitors:
- Amaryllis, Bridalwear of Alton and now at Godalming.
- Butterfly Ladies Fashion, from Bishop's Waltham
- Calm Amongst the Chaos, Vintage Bridal Gowns and Accessories from Ringwood
- House of Weddings, Bridalwear, situated in Havant
- Toni-Anne, Bridalwear and Wedding Gown designer, also showing menswear, prom and bridesmaid dresses in Bishop's Waltham
- Showcasing floral designs by The Flower Company, Lee-on-Solent and Hazel's Florist, Bishop's Waltham
Because of the demand in 2009 we held 2 fashion shows in 2010 at 12.30 and 2.15. Both events were filmed and broadcast to both the Patterson Centre and the marquee, where it was shown on plasma screen kindly supplied by our sponsor Ron Upfield of Bishop's Waltham, now offering bridal gift lists for electrical goods.
